Victor Gamble CA, CPA
-
Victor grew up in the Cowichan valley, graduating from Cowichan Secondary and then attended University of Victoria. He graduated in 1981 with a BA in economics. Victor then went to work for the Bank of Montral from 1981 until 1984 as a business administration officer and loans officer.
After his stint with the Bank of Montral, he pursued his CA designation after landing a job with Hill & Partners in Duncan. He received his CA designation in 1991 and in 1992 he became a partner. Victor continued his partnership from 1992 until 2005. During that time, he provided a high level of accounting and tax advice to hundreds of clients across a number of industries. After his time at Hill & Partners, he went to work in the construction industry for a company based in Alberta. He was there for 10 years and during that time he was their corporate controller managing 80+ companies across all of North America grossing over a billion dollars in annual revenue.
When the opportunity presented itself to work with his son Kevin who was entering the accounting industry he jumped at the opportunity.
Outside of work Victor is passionate about curling, he is a national level curler who has multiple provincial championships. He is also very fitness orientated whether it be hiking, CrossFit (which has become a family activity), or a day at the river.
Kevin Gamble CPA
-
Kevin was born and raised in the Cowichan Valley. Which gave him a deep appreciation for the quieter life as well as all things nature and outdoors. He attended Vancouver Island University in Nanaimo; he started his university journey in engineering. But he quickly realized that business and accounting were more aligned to his strengths and interest, this earned himself a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He then traveled to Edmonton to work for Deloitte to pursue his CPA designation. After a few years in Edmonton, he found himself eager to return to the island to be surrounded by family and milder winters.
Upon his return to Vancouver Island, he and his father, Victor, decided to join forces and start working together. After 6 months working at a local firm, they decided to start ENSO Accounting & Tax and create something of their own. Since opening they have been blown away with the support of the community. They love being able to support their clients with all things accounting and business. Due to the support the community has shown Kevin, Victor, and ENSO giving back is high on their priority. Whether that be through donations, community involvement, or simply buying and engaging local businesses.
When Kevin is not behind his desk you can find him in the gym or out hiking with his wife and 2 dogs.
Alison Cummings CPA
-
Alison grew up in Hamilton, Ontario, graduating Valedictorian from Barton Secondary School before briefly testing the waters as a law clerk. After a diploma from Niagara College and a year in the field, she realized that spreadsheets were her true calling and followed in her father’s footsteps into accounting.
Alison earned her Business–Accounting diploma from Mohawk College before heading west to Edmonton in 2006, where she gained hands-on accounting experience in the linen and uniform industry before adding “mom” to her résumé.
After maternity leave, Alison joined the JV Driver Construction Group, where she was fortunate to be lead and mentored by Victor Gamble. Over five years, she worked her way up to Assistant Controller working directly for Victor all while completing her Bachelor of General Studies through Athabasca University eventually earning her CPA designation.
In 2016, Alison and her family moved to the Cowichan Valley, where she very quickly fell in love with Island life. She launched her own bookkeeping business with some amazing clients, which allowed to keep learning from and working closely with Victor and Kevin after they founded ENSO Accounting.
Family life brought Alison back to Alberta in 2019, but Vancouver Island was never far from her mind. After years of travel between BC and Alberta, she officially returned to Island life in 2024 by joining ENSO Accounting as a CPA.
When she’s not balancing books, Alison’s favourite thing in the world is watching her son play elite-level baseball. She’s also a retired National 5-Pin Bowling Champion and has recently taken up 10-pin bowling.

Lauren Kendall

Back in 2020 I started in an Admin role that led to me to realize how much I enjoy bookkeeping and working with numbers. I was introduced to and had the pleasure of working with Enso while in that previous position and was instantly drawn to the friendly and informative team there. I started at Enso in January of 2025 and it has been one of the best decisions I've made. I was born and raised here on the island and adore everything it has to offer. I'm a big lover of nature and the outdoors but I'm kept busiest doing anything creative. You will most often find me curled up at home with my cat, Nori, and a craft in hand.
Athena Gamble
-
Athena joined the Gamble family in 2016 at the age of 4. She was rescued by Kevin from an agency in Victoria. Since then, she has been a fixture in the office! In her younger years she couldn’t get enough long walks exploring all that her new home of Vancouver Island had to offer. Now that she is older she prefers a comfy bed to those extra long walks, but you can still find her greeting clients day in and day out at the office. Her favorite time of year is tax season when there are so many visitors who bring her treats and head scratches.
